The oil is made on a synthetic base, which provides a stable oil film at high temperatures and quick lubrication during cold starts. Thus, the engine is protected in the first seconds after ignition, when wear is greatest. The oil keeps parts clean and limits the formation of deposits and sludge. What does viscosity 10W-60 mean?
The designation 10W-60 is according to the SAE J300 classification. The number 10 before the letter W indicates how easily the oil flows in the cold. The lower it is, the faster the oil reaches all parts of the engine during a cold start. The number 60 describes the viscosity at an operating temperature of around 100 °C. The higher viscosity at operating temperature protects the engine under heavy loads, high revs and sporty driving.
