Antifreeze (coolant) keeps the engine from freezing in winter and from overheating in summer, and the additives in it protect the radiator, pump, and channels from corrosion and deposits.

Червеният (розов) антифриз е на органична основа (OAT - G12/G12+) с удължен живот, препоръчван за повечето автомобили на VW Group и други марки след 1996 г.

Color is not a standard - specification is important

The color helps to guide you, but the car manufacturer's approval is crucial (e.g. VW TL 774, Ford WSS-M97B44 or Renault 41-01-001). Do not mix antifreezes with different technologies - this can form sediments and reduce protection.

Concentrate or ready-made antifreeze?

The concentrate is diluted with distilled water - usually 1:1 for protection down to about -37 °C. The finished antifreeze is poured directly and is convenient to top up. Check the level when the engine is cold.

Depending on the type - every 2-5 years or according to the service interval of the car. Organic (OAT) antifreezes have a longer life.

In an emergency - yes, but then check the concentration because water reduces frost protection.
