More and more drivers are considering an electric vehicle for their next car
A study shows that the desire to change the drivetrain has doubled in a year.
According to the „2026 EV Perception Report“ by Here and SBD Automotive, 271% of German drivers with gasoline and diesel cars plan to choose an electric vehicle when they next purchase or lease.
Just a year earlier, the share was only 13%. Over 4,000 drivers in several European countries were surveyed.
Among the main factors are a wider range of models, better charging infrastructure and lower maintenance costs in the long term.
